Ericka Sanchez
I'm a Senior Product Designer & Digital Project Lead.
For more than 5 years, I have designed digital products, enterprise platforms, operational workflows, and scalable systems within the medical technology and manufacturing industries.
My work often begins in complex environments: fragmented information, manual processes, multiple stakeholders, technical limitations, regulatory requirements, and users who need to make important decisions quickly. I enjoy turning that complexity into experiences that feel clear, intentional, and useful.
My background combines product design, UX research, interaction design, design systems, digital transformation, and organizational adoption. I have worked across the entire product lifecycle, from identifying opportunities and defining product direction to prototyping, implementation, training, and measuring adoption.
I currently work as a Senior Digital Project Leader within the cardiovascular medical technology space, where I lead digital initiatives and collaborate with business, engineering, quality, operations, data, and technology teams.
My Approach

The initial request is not always the real user need. I use research, observation, stakeholder conversations, and systems thinking to identify where design can create the greatest value.
→ Make complexity understandable
I translate technical and operational complexity into clear workflows, interaction models, visual hierarchies, and reusable patterns.
→ Design for implementation
I consider technical feasibility, scalability, accessibility, governance, and adoption throughout the process—not only after the design is complete.
→ Learn through iteration
I use prototypes, usability testing, feedback, and real-world implementation to continuously refine the experience.
Beyond Product Design
I am currently completing a Master’s Degree in Digital Art and New Media at Tecnológico de Monterrey. My academic research explores bilingual communication, emotional experience, artificial intelligence, and interactive systems across the Ciudad Juárez / El Paso border.
Through my thesis project, Pausa, I am using Research through Design, sentiment analysis, machine learning, data visualization, and participatory art to investigate the emotional pauses that occur when people move between Spanish and English.
This work has expanded how I think about product design. It has encouraged me to consider not only usability and efficiency, but also identity, emotion, culture, and the subtle human experiences that technology can make visible.
